Belt Buckle modeled on the Viking Age Pitney Brooch, in Urnes Style

Very decorative removable belt buckle in late Viking Age Urnes style. It takes up the motif of the Pitney brooch, which depicts the struggle of an animal with a snake.

The Urnes style
... is the last of the six known Norse art styles and persisted until the beginning of the 12th century. It superseded the Ringerike style by the middle of the 11th century. The Urnes style is characterized by delicate representations of intertwined animals. It was named after a small Norwegian locality on the Lustra Fjord.

This solid belt buckle is easy to hook to an appropriate belt strap. It is suitable for 3 cm wide leather belts.

The belt buckle is available in bronze or silver finish.
